It’s pronounced like “cages.” There are so many things I could say about these two, that I don’t even know where to begin. But I promise that if you are in the same room with both of them at the same time, you’ll probably get a decent abs workout just by laughing at all the ridiculous things that come out of their mouths. I’m literally going to do a shameless plug here because I adore these two women, and because they are some of my closest friends, and I also get to work on music things with them. Jess Penner is like a unicorn. She is pure magic. I don’t know anyone that does full time mom + wife + artist + producer + singer/songwriter the way she does. She’s like the super human that never stops giving. For example, she was still tracking vocals and working on the Kayjez debut record right up until before her second child was born, being nine months preggers plus some and would still have meals and dessert freshly prepared on the table after studio sessions. Who does that? Oh, and all these photos were taken about a month after pregnancy… after a C-section. Need I go on? Kate Booye is a pea in her own unique pod. I don’t know anyone who YOLOs as hard as Kate does. It is always an adventure with her. Her sarcasm is unreal, and I guarantee that being in Kate’s vicinity automatically ups your badassery level. I owe so much to these two ladies for teaching me how to be a little cooler on the daily. They’ve taught me about being matchless in my own quirky way. There are honestly no better people for dream chasing with. Kate and Jess are some of the best people you’ll ever meet, and are basically the icing to my cake.
