USVI: Paradise of the East
If I could live in paradise forever, I would. And one of those places I really wouldn’t mind spending time in are the US Virgin Islands. One week in St. John staying at the Westin St. John with a perfect view of the setting sun definitely was not enough, and the island made me fall in love with its crystal clear, cerulean blue seas.
Tacos, All Day Every Day
I legitimately feel like that’s been so much of my life lately. If I’m not eating tacos, I’m photo-ing tacos, or attending taco release parties, or making tacos, or doing something tacos related. But I guess that’s a good thing because I sure do love tacos. Here are some of my favorite shots from my most recent tacos adventures, including the release of new tacos at Sharky’s Mexican Grill exclusively for the month of May
Bali and Beyond
Thanks to Parkland and Geckos Adventures, I had the wonderful privilege of flying to Indonesia in March. I met some of the coolest humans, hiked an active volcano in the middle of the night, snorkeled til my skin oozed salt, and got seriously tan. To say that my trip was life-changing would be a serious understatement.
Raul + Ariel: Proposal
There is literally nothing more frightening than shooting the proposal of friends who are fantastic photographers themselves. Seriously. It was scary. But I digress…
I met Raul and Ariel a few years ago when we went on a wedding/photography road trip. Like. I met them when I jumped into other friends’ Suburban minutes before we took off. At that time, the two of them barely knew each other so I am extremely proud to say that I’ve been there since the beginning.
Pop of Poppies
Spring is in the air, which means allergy season in amongst us. I love flowers, and I love blooms, but I hate all the sneeze attacks and watery eyes. Makes everything so much harder. For the start of this beautiful season, I got to collaborate once again with Dr. Cindy Dao and Darling Magazine!
A brand new launch forward
Hello and welcome to the new and improved www.julianncheryl.com!
If you’ve been with me the past couple years and have been following my blog, you’ll know that this web address was formerly the home to a very personal project of mine. Don’t worry, those words are still very much alive and have just found a new home in the bigger scope of this space.
Nothing Fishy About Sharky’s
Sharky’s Woodfire Mexican Grill is everything delicious, and I have the wonderful privilege of creating social media content for them. I’m all about the healthy eats, and putting fresh and good ingredients into your body. Eating at Sharky’s definitely allows you to do that.
Zac + Myra: Anniversary
Myra contacted me a couple months ago, and told me she wanted to do a surprise photo shoot with Zac for their 5th anniversary. Duh, cute. She said she wasn’t really great at surprises, but if you ask me, I think she was pretty good at keeping secrets and making this happen.
Light Chasing with Leo
Leo told me he wanted some portrait photos, except he didn’t specify where when I asked him about the location. He wanted to do the spontaneity thing. You know, hop in a car and just end up somewhere, which I am totally down for.
Grammer + Grammy’s
The not so fun fact about the music industry: Grammy’s weekend is everything hectic. The more fun fact:
